The Department of Cardiology of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Cancer Hospital was established at the beginning of the hospital's founding. It is one of the earliest specialties established in the hospital. In June 2016, it was officially renamed Cardiology Department A.

This undergraduate program features the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and common diseases in the elderly, and has accumulated rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

It has gradually developed into a modern cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment and talent training base integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and rehabilitation.

It has been rated as an advanced department of the hospital many times, and in 2012, it was rated as the "Youth Civilization Award" of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The total number of medical staff in the department is 24, including 2 chief physicians, 1 deputy chief physician, and 2 attending physicians (including 3 master's students).

It has 43 beds and treats more than 600 inpatients annually.

The department focuses on improving the quality of medical care, actively learns new knowledge, develops new businesses, accumulates rich clinical experience, and creates a large number of advanced diagnosis and treatment technologies.

Featuring cardiac interventional treatment, it has successfully performed percutaneous coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary stent implantation, radiofrequency catheter ablation for arrhythmia treatment, temporary pacemaker placement, permanent artificial pacemaker implantation and replacement, lower limb venous filter implantation, cardioversion and defibrillation, cardiac electrophysiological examination and transesophageal pacing cardiac electrophysiological examination.

Cardiovascular interventional treatment has reached the domestic advanced level and plays a positive role in clinically reducing the pain of patients and saving lives.

Undergraduate students are responsible for the internship and teaching work of the medical school and continue to cultivate outstanding medical talents for the society.

At the same time, he participated in an international heart protection research project, and his undergraduate degree was designated as a collaboration point for the international large-scale "Third Heart Protection Research".

The success rate in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, hypertension, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, as well as various difficult diseases and the rescue of critical and severe heart diseases has reached the domestic advanced level.

Since its establishment, the CCU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) has rescued a large number of high-risk patients such as acute coronary syndrome, severe heart failure, and severe arrhythmia.

While adhering to the purpose of "technology-based, developing characteristics", the Department of Cardiology has also established a service concept of "patient-oriented, humanistic care" to improve communication and trust between doctors and patients. While providing medical technical services to patients, it strives to provide patients with high-quality nursing services and help patients recover faster and better, and has won recognition and praise from patients.
