The Breast Tumor Center of Peking University Cancer Hospital Inner Mongolia Hospital was established on July 1, 2014. It is the first professional breast tumor center in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

It is a unit of the China Minimally Invasive and Laparoscopic Breast Surgery Alliance, a medical consortium of the Capital Medical University Breast Minimally Invasive Center, a standardized training and collaboration base for breast disease diagnosis and treatment in China, a project demonstration unit for the “Construction Pilot of a National Multidisciplinary Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment System for Glandular Diseases”, a popular science education base in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and a resident unit of the Inner Mongolia Breast Disease Prevention and Treatment Society. , Hohhot Women's Health Home, Inner Mongolia Medical University Youth Pilot Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team, the leading unit of the Inner Mongolia Breast Disease 12 League City Medical Alliance, more than 20 medical institutions have signed agreements, and it is currently a national regional medical center. Peking University Cancer Hospital has long-term dispatched breast surgery and internal medicine experts to perform operations, outpatient services, and diagnosis and treatment of difficult cases.

The existing Breast Cancer Basic Research and Clinical Translation Laboratory has a total of 43 medical staff, including 1 postdoctoral fellow, 4 with doctoral degrees, 2 supervisors of master's students, 10 with master's degrees, 4 chief physicians, 4 deputy chief physicians, and 23 nursing staff.

Medical staff have studied the diagnosis, treatment and care of breast diseases at International Cancer Hospital in Italy, Brigham and Women's Hospital of Harvard Medical School in the United States, Peking University Cancer Hospital, Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tianjin Cancer Hospital, Shandong Cancer Hospital and other places, bringing new clinical treatment concepts and benefiting patients with high-quality precision treatment concepts.

Business scope:

1. Diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of breast cancer: Drug treatment of breast cancer includes chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, molecular targeted therapy, immunotherapy, biological therapy, Chinese and Mongolian medicine, and psychosomatic auxiliary therapy.

2. Surgical treatment of breast cancer: minimally invasive breast surgery, modified radical mastectomy, breast conserving surgery, breast reconstruction, endoscopic breast surgery, precise sentinel lymph node biopsy and other surgical treatments.

3. Benign breast diseases: Diagnosis and treatment of benign breast diseases such as breast fibroadenoma, breast cystic hyperplasia, mastitis, intraductal papilloma, and gynecomastia.

New technologies and new businesses:

Under the leadership of the subject leader, the department carries out laparoscopic-assisted nipple-areola-sparing mastectomy (NSM), laparoscopic total mastectomy + axillary lymph node dissection + expander/prosthesis implantation for one-stage breast reconstruction surgery.

Be the first in the autonomous region to carry out sentinel lymph node biopsy using indocyanine green fluorescence tracing under mastoscopy;

Apply 3D mammoscopy technology to treat benign and malignant breast tumors;

Precise breast surgical design using 3D printing technology + precise intraoperative radical mastectomy + latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap transfer;

One-stage reconstruction and extended radical skin grafting for breast cancer;

Advanced technologies such as radical mastectomy for chest wall recurrence + adjacent flap transfer repair and plastic surgery, inferior epigastric artery free flap (DIEP) breast reconstruction, etc.

The department gathers experts in breast surgery and internal medicine, adopts a "patient-centered" diagnosis and treatment concept, and uses innovative technology to formulate accurate, standardized, and safe diagnosis and treatment plans at different diagnosis and treatment stages such as screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for breast cancer patients to meet the needs of patients and provide full-service services.

As the resident unit of the Inner Mongolia Breast Disease Prevention and Treatment Society, the department focuses on humanistic care and has established a "Science Popularization Garden" to create a platform for patients to communicate with each other and provide "Li She Club" psychological support, nutritional guidance, knowledge popularization and other comprehensive health services.
