Cardiac Department

The Cardiac Surgery Department of Beijing Tsinghua Chang Gung Memorial Hospital was established in November 2016.

The department focuses on the surgical treatment of adult heart disease. It has successfully carried out surgical treatments for coronary heart disease, valvular heart disease, large vessel disease, congenital heart disease, etc. It has independently completed more than 100 cases of cardiac surgery, focusing on the development of minimally invasive cardiac surgery and surgical treatment of heart failure patients.

Under the leadership of the concept of minimally invasive surgery, the department has successfully carried out minimally invasive small incision beating heart bypass, hybrid surgery (Hybrid surgery), transapical catheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI), minimally invasive endoscopic access to the great saphenous vein, minimally invasive thoracoscopic access to the internal mammary artery and other technologies.

The department is equipped with advanced equipment such as aortic balloon pump (IABP) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), focusing on the treatment of critically ill heart failure patients.

In September 2019, our department successfully obtained the qualification for heart transplant surgery.

The department currently has 2 attending doctors, 4 resident doctors, and 2 extracorporeal circulation specialists.

Expert Cui Xiaozheng ----- specializes in common congenital heart disease, especially tetralogy of Fallot;

For common posterior heart diseases, such as coronary heart disease, heart valve disease, especially OPCAB, MVP, small incision mitral valvuloplasty;

Bentall and David procedure of aortic root surgery;

and have a certain in-depth understanding of heart transplant procedures.
