The Center for Mindfulness-Physical Medicine at Peking University is dedicated to exploring how to apply mindfulness in fast-paced life (to improve negative emotions and stress). The core of mindfulness is to cultivate awareness of the present, to feel and experience each moment with an unjudged attitude. While it is important to regulate attention during recovery, many hospitalized patients will feel bored and uninterested in basic static exercise, which allows for walking but also brings attention back. To improve patient involvement in treatment, the Center for Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBST) has developed a series of experimental mindfulness-based practices that allow patients to experience the mindfulness-bending charm of mindfulness through colorful activities.
