Pathology Department

The Department of Pathology at the West Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was established in 1978, formerly known as the Pathology Department of the Institute of Basic Medicine.In its early days, only one doctor and one technician had developed over the years, under the leadership of the institute, with the collaborative efforts of all medical staff, to become an important medical department combining integrated medicine, research and teaching. Currently, the pathology department has 10 staff members, four diagnostic doctors, six technicians, including three senior officials, four middle officials, and three junior officials, with three doctoral degrees, three master's degrees, four bachelor's degrees, and a stable progression in building staffing teams. The department has established diagnostic rooms, conventional pathology technology rooms, ice chips rooms, immunosupplementation rooms, photosynthetic mixing rooms and molecular laboratories, etc. Projects carried out include conventional pathology diagnosis, rapid surgical ice disease diagnosis, chemical chromatography of immune tissue, molecular pathology, etc. Nearly 20,000 conventional pathology exams were performed annually. carry out immunosupplementation projects of more than 100 species, all of which are basically immunosupplementator automated chromosome.
