Xiyuan Hospital, Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences

The Chinese Medical Academy West Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was established in 2005, and has been designated as a comprehensive ICU, and in 2011 as a priority area of the National China Medical Administration. The hospital was renovated and expanded in July 2013 to move into the new second floor of the clinic, which currently covers about 1000m2, with 26 beds (12 supervisory beds, 14 rotary beds), including two single rooms, accounting for 3.4% of total hospital beds. The integrated ICU area is equipped with a multi-parameter central monitoring system, respirator, reuse respirator, blood dynamics monitor, bedside blood purifier, detonator, cardiac electrometer, fiber optic tube lens, bedside ultrasound, anti-thrombosis, ice cap machine, injection pump, intravenous pump, and about 10 million yuan worth of medical equipment such as video surveillance systems, multifunctional ICU beds. Each ward is an independent emergency room, ensuring that patients are fully rested and reducing the risk of cross-infection.
