Acupuncture Department

The Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences West China Hospital Acupuncture Department, established in December 1955 when the state created the affiliated hospital of the Chinese Medical Research Institute, was one of the first seven clinical laboratories established in the early days of the establishment of the institute and one of the earliest acupuncture departments established nationwide. For more than sixty years, the director of the National Drug Administration's first class of teachers, and the senior experts such as director Yeong-Liang, have been continuously cultivating in different periods. In 2013, the hospital's new entrance building was opened, the acupuncture department expanded to six clinics, 33 treatment beds, 300-400 daily clinics.The acupuncture department further expanded and developed, medical education and research were fully developed.There are currently 10 doctors in the department, most of whom hold a master's or doctoral degree or a degree. Among them, three are the chief physician, three are the deputy chief physician, four are the chief physician; two are professors; three are the guides.
