Gastroenterology Department

The Department of Digestion at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, West China Hospital is one of the earliest established internal medicine departments of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, West China Hospital, with a long history and deep academic background.Since its establishment, the department has inherited and highlighted the characteristics of Chinese medicine, played a key role in the combination of Chinese medicine, achieved outstanding results in clinical medicine, research and teaching on diseases of the digestive system, established a formal license for the development of diseases of the digestive system in June 2013, established by the Beijing Central Hospital Administration, established by the Beijing National Institute of Gastroenterology, established by Xu Zhiang, and established by the Ministry of Health, and established by numerous national and international reputed experts in the field of gastroenterology who have previously worked in the department, their deep academic background and rich clinical experience have laid a solid foundation for the development of the discipline.
