Business capabilities: The Department of Endocrinology has an annual outpatient volume of more than 130,000. It has specialized outpatient clinics for "diabetes", "diabetic peripheral neuropathy", "diabetic nephropathy", "diabetic lower limb vascular disease", "hyperthyroidism", "thyroid nodules", "Hashimoto's thyroiditis", "weight-metabolic diseases" and other special diseases. It focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and acute and chronic complications, thyroid disease, metabolic syndrome, osteoporosis, endocrine disorders and other diseases with traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

The inpatient ward has 38 beds. The main diseases treated in the ward are diabetes, various acute and chronic complications, thyroid diseases, etc., and more than 1,300 patients are treated annually.

Diabetes, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetic nephropathy, and diabetic lower extremity vascular disease are the dominant diseases in the Department of Endocrinology, and the department has developed a mature diagnosis and treatment plan of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

Among them, intensive insulin therapy combined with TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment for patients with new onset type 2 diabetes can quickly alleviate the condition, restore part of the pancreatic islet function, and achieve long-term remission of the condition, which is more advantageous than simple Western medicine treatment;

Comprehensive solutions such as Western medicine combined with traditional Chinese medicine, external Chinese medicine washing, and acupoint application can significantly improve the clinical efficacy in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

For thyroid diseases such as hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, subacute thyroiditis, etc., based on the application of modern medical standard diagnosis and treatment, the department follows the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine differentiation and treatment ideas of "combination of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation and treatment", and uses traditional Chinese medicine to achieve the purpose of improving symptoms, shortening the course of disease, and improving patients' quality of life. It reflects the advantages of the overall concept of traditional Chinese medicine and effectively makes up for the shortcomings of western medicine treatment.
