Pharmacy Department

The Pharmacy Department of Guang'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, was founded in 1956. After more than 60 years of development, the Pharmacy Department has developed into a pharmaceutical technical service department integrating pharmaceutical services, scientific research, teaching and management, with the mission of ensuring clinical medication and promoting safe, rational and effective medication.

The Pharmacy Department is currently responsible for the supply of drugs, dispensing of drugs, decoction of traditional Chinese medicines, in-hospital preparations, clinical pharmacy services, and other pharmaceutical technical work. It is also responsible for promoting the rational use of drugs, safe use of drugs, and standardized drug use.

The Pharmacy Department of Guang'anmen Hospital is a key specialty in clinical pharmacy of traditional Chinese medicine in Beijing, the "Clinical Pharmacist Training Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine" of the Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the "National Training Base for Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristic Technology Inheritance Talents", the "Yan Zhenghua Clinical Traditional Chinese Medicine Discipline Service Base of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine", the "Clinical Traditional Chinese Medicine Practice Base of the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine", the "Construction Unit of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Compounding Room of the Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine 'Traditional Small Plaster' Reproduction Project", and the "Beijing Demonstration Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacy".
