International Medical Department

The International Medical Department of Guangzhou Hospital, a Chinese medical university, established in June 2009, is the hospital's outpatient window, and was the first and only Chinese medical institution to pass the quality certification of medical care by multinational health insurance company, Pumpper. International Medical Department currently has an attendance of 8,000 to 10,000 people per year, international patients come from 32 countries and regions, mainly Russia, the United States, Japan, EU countries, almost one third of whom have their medical training abroad and travel to Guangzhou Hospital in search of medical care. The International Medical Department is primarily directed at the Chinese embassies, consulate officers and their families, entrepreneurs and families of foreign and joint ventures, foreign experts and families who are studying in China, foreign tourists, international medical insurance clients, domestic commercial health insurance customers, health care, outpatient and residential treatment. At the same time, 14 ministries such as the National Medical Administration of China and the Ministry of Commerce have been involved in carrying out work on the first-ever trial-based enterprises for the Chinese medical services trade in documents No. 201421 concerning the publication of the first-ever pilot-based enterprises in the Chinese medical service trade (institutions) notified of the construction list (Guangzhou Guangmen Hospital was listed as the first-ever framework institution)
