The Department of Ophthalmology at Guangzhou Hospital, China's National Medical University, since its founding in 1983, has always adhered to the patient-centred concept of research and teaching as well as clinical work.There are currently 10 doctors, including 2 physicians-directors, 1 assistant physician, 7 middle-level positions, a medical specialty that combines Western medicine with Chinese medical advantages. The ear and throat department has a variety of advanced screening equipment, such as pure sound detection, sound resistance, ear matching and masking devices, multifunctional fiber-optic nasopharynx, dynamic nasopharynx, electron microscopy, eardropherology integrated therapy, red light therapist, microwave therapist, drum massage machine, nasal resistance detector, ear resonance emission, auditory brain stem inducement, antenna function check system. The diagnostic categories include a variety of diseases of the ear, nose and throat, treatments including traditional Chinese medicine, Western medicine, combined Chinese medicine, etc., and have developed a characteristic that is primarily based on traditional Chinese medicine, with good therapeutic efficacy in treating a wide range of common and suspected conditions.
