Pharmacy Department

The Pharmacy Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University was separated from the Pharmaceutical Department in August 2005 and is an integrated pharmaceutical technology service department with pharmacy management functions that integrate pharmaceutical research and teaching into our pharmacy department. Under the direction of the Department Director, adhering to the principle that everything is patient and clinical-centred, providing comprehensive, high-quality pharmaceutical services, adhering to legal regulations such as the Pharmacy Administration Act of the People's Republic of China, the Prescription Management Code, the Medicare and Medicaid Regulations, establishing a sound system for ensuring quality of medicines, ensuring safe use and effectiveness of medicines and providing excellent pharmaceutical services. The main tasks include hospital pharmacy management, drug supply and administration, prescription pre-examination, reasonable use of medicines, medication modulation and safety drug guidance, pharmaceutical education, pharmaceutical research related to hospital pharmacy, etc. In September 2021, the name was officially changed to the Department of Pharmacy.
