General Surgery Department

The Beijing Field Hospital, affiliated with the Capital Medical University, was founded at the end of last century, after more than 30 years of hard development, the discipline has grown and expanded, now becoming a common surgery-based, liver, gallbladder, pancreas-specific, technologically advanced, excellent equipment, complete specialization, talented excellence, service devotion, academic-type specialist departmental unit that integrates medical, teaching, and research into the hospital. The focus of the implementation of specialties, integrated development strategy is to build classrooms. Work in the classroom covers the diagnosis of all surgical diseases of the liver, bile duct, pancreas, kidney, gastrointestinal tract, and thyroid gland. Special surgery and combined treatment for liver, bile duct, stomach, and artery hypertension has a rich experience and mature technology. Its postoperative complications are significantly lower than reported domestically and internationally, with its near-term therapeutic efficacy reaching or exceeding international advanced levels. In particular, 40 more successful liver transplants completed in succession, the surgical mortality rate of zero, five-year survival rate of 88.4%, have created new records for domestic and foreign liver transplants.
