The Liver Disease and Digestion Center of Beijing You'an Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University was the first domestic infectious disease hospital to be established in 1988. The Department of Liver Disease and Gastroenterology was officially established in 1993 and was renamed the "Liver Disease and Digestive Center" in 2006.

With the support of hospital leaders and superior authorities, and the unremitting efforts of You'an people for nearly 30 years, it is currently the main force in the treatment of infectious diseases related to digestive system diseases (infectious gastroenterology) and digestive system infectious diseases in my country. It has a high academic status and professional brand at home and abroad. Its professional scientific and technological influence is at a high level in the country, and its infection and gastroenterology specialty is at the leading level in the country.

The Department of Hepatology and Digestion of Beijing You'an Hospital is an important part of the Department of Gastroenterology of Capital Medical University, a core unit of the National Clinical Research Center for Digestive System Diseases, and a training center for master's and doctoral students in Internal Medicine (Digestive Diseases) of Capital Medical University.

Currently, the liver disease and digestive center includes 2 wards with a total of more than 90 beds and 1 digestive endoscopy center.

The endoscopy center occupies an area of ​​approximately 400 square meters and is equipped with modern imported endoscopic equipment.

Including high-definition electronic gastroscope, LASEREO blue laser endoscope, magnifying gastroenteroscope, duodenoscope, ultrasonic gastroscope, nasogastroscope, capsule endoscope, DS-Spyglass pancreaticobiliary subscope, C13HP detector, etc.

It is a domestic leader in the diagnosis and screening of gastrointestinal bleeding, ascites and spontaneous peritonitis in liver cirrhosis, early gastrointestinal cancer and liver cancer, and endoscopic minimally invasive treatment of pancreatic and biliary diseases.

Currently there are 64 professional and technical personnel, including 23 doctors.

There are 12 senior professional titles, 18 intermediate professional and technical titles, 10 doctoral degrees, and 11 master's degrees.
