Pathology Department

The Department of Pathology at Beijing Oral Hospital, affiliated with the Capital Medical University, was founded in 1954 under the care of a long-time hospital leadership and, through generations of pathologists, has now developed into more fully equipped, more technologically advanced laboratories that carry out important tasks in three areas: medical, teaching, and research. There are 4 doctors, including 1 chief medical officer, 1 deputy chief medical officer, 3 technicians, 2 of whom are middle-level positions.  Pathology is mainly concerned with the diagnostic work of oral/facial pathology.  Compared to other diagnostic methods, pathological diagnosis is the most accurate diagnosis.  It can provide important reference for clinicians to develop treatment plans, estimate prognosis and follow up observations.
