1. Create China's first ovarian tissue cryopreservation bank, and be the first, only and internationally leading company in the field of fertility protection for ovarian tissue cryopreservation and transplantation.

In 2012, Director Ruan Xiangyan, as the founder and person in charge, led the team to create China's first ovarian tissue cryopreservation bank. She led the team to successfully complete China's first cryopreserved ovarian tissue transplantation, and achieved China's first natural pregnancy after cryopreserved ovarian tissue transplantation and the birth of the first healthy cryopreserved baby. These three important breakthroughs filled a gap in the history of fertility protection in China and promoted the major scientific and technological transformation of ovarian tissue cryopreservation and transplantation technology in China.

The ovarian tissue cryopreservation team led by Professor Ruan Xiangyan from Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University has so far cryopreserved ovarian tissue from 800 children and young patients, covering nearly 80 kinds of diseases. The youngest patient is only 6 months old.

41 cases of transplantation have been successfully completed, and there has been no recurrence of the primary disease related to transplantation. The transplantation success rate has reached 100%, which is at an internationally leading level.

The standard for internationally mature ovarian tissue cryopreservation centers is to perform 10 or more cases of cryopreserved ovarian tissue transplantation. The success rate of one transplantation exceeds 70% and a healthy child is born.

There are only more than 20 mature centers in the world, and the ovarian tissue cryopreservation bank of Professor Ruan Xiangyan’s team at Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital is the only mature center in China among them.
