Nursing Department

The Nursing Department of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University has a complete three-level nursing management structure. It currently has 1 director of the nursing department, 3 deputy directors, and 3 clerks. The hospital has 10 department head nurses and 64 unit head nurses.

There are a total of 1,250 nurses, 74% of whom have a college degree or above. Nurses in charge or above account for 18% of the hospital's nurses. Among them, the number of deputy chief nurses has increased to 23, and nurses under the age of 35 account for 65%.

Various nursing management systems are sound.

14 nursing quality control groups were established to conduct quality management, and the "5S" method and PDCA method were applied in management. Nursing quality management reflects continuous improvement. Five professional committees including wounds, critical care, and intravenous therapy were established and developed to provide support for clinical nursing.

As one of the hospitals carrying out high-quality nursing demonstration projects, the high-quality nursing service wards have reached 100% implementation and won the Ministry of Health’s national key clinical nursing professional project.

As the third clinical department of the School of Nursing of Capital Medical University, it undertakes classroom teaching and clinical practice tasks for nurses in colleges and technical secondary schools, focuses on the training of specialist nurses, and has trained 87 specialist nurses of various types.

It has multiple clinical teaching bases for specialist nurses from the Chinese Nursing Association and Beijing Nursing Association, playing a radiation and demonstration role in the region.

In the past five years, the hospital has received a total of 625 training nurses from 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, 50.72% of which came from tertiary hospitals across the country.

26 national and municipal study classes have been held, and 42 nursing backbones hold positions in the Chinese Nursing Association and Beijing Nursing Association, 5 of whom serve as directors and deputy directors of professional committees.

13 people and 2 groups won various advanced honorary titles from the country, Beijing and the health system respectively.
