The radiation department of Beijing Morning Hospital, affiliated with the Capital Medical University, has deployed state-of-the-art instrumentation equipment, radiation planning systems and quality control systems at home and abroad, totaling over 18 million yuan. The British medical direct line accelerator in use, currently the world's most advanced electronic direct line accelerator, is capable of completing 3D adaptive radiation therapy for all surfaces of the tumor and can effectively implement new technologies such as reinforced radiation therapy (IMRT), which guarantees improved efficiency, accuracy and precision of radiation therapy. Japan's Toshiba Simulation Locator and Philips' Large-Hole Radiation Special Spindle CT Simulation Locator, ensured precise location as well as accurate and clear positioning images. The Department of Radiation Therapy has also configured two sets of medical dataPrecisePlan and PhilipsPinnacle programming systems, which can complete various radiation programs including a vertical and reverse amplification program, and be mutually verifiable. To ensure the accurate implementation of radiation therapy programs, improve clinical cancer treatment effectiveness, radiation medicine has introduced an EPID system to verify treatment and establish a system for quality assurance and quality control of cancer radiation therapy.
