The Department of Ophthalmology, affiliated with the Capital Medical University in Beijing, was established independently through generations of efforts, renamed in 2001 as Ophthalmology, and in early 2003 further divided into Ophthalmology, Nose, Throat, Head, and Four Subdisciplines that developed in parallel. Under the leadership of former department chairman Zhang Xing, Li Zongting, Zhang Riwa, Wang Ningyu, and collective efforts have been encouraged by the entire team to work together in a spirit of cooperation over sixty-five years of rainy weather. They have won regional and national praise from their peers. The clinic is equipped with almost all the advanced equipment of scientific development, including nasal imaging, power systems, surgical navigation systems, plasma, microscopy, lasers, Neuroscan brain signal detection and analysis systems, etc. In addition, nearly all clinics are equipped with an in vitro system.
