Thyroid Department

The Department of Thyroid Surgery at Beijing Morning Hospital, affiliated with the Capital Medical University, focuses on thyroid function and thyroid surgery. Professor Berjun, who heads the department, is the founder and first chief expert of the Beijing Association of Hospital Leaders in Surgery. Our department has significant expertise in diagnosing and treating thyroid tumors, not only in the implementation of standardized, microcrystallized and functional surgical treatments for early-to-mid-stage thyroid tumors, but also in the implementation of high-level surgical treatment for complex thyroid cancer that is accompanied by invasive airways, esophageal glands and severe lymph nodes, as well as in the management of major or peripheral thyroid malignancies and conservation difficulties. Our department has extensive experience in the field of advanced thyroid function, especially that caused by thyroid tumours, and in the surgical treatment of thyroid tumors, with a number of diagnoses ranking first in the country, and the Ministry is currently implementing large-scale breast microcircumcision removal of thyroid tumours.
