Laboratory Department

The Laboratory Department of Beijing Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University is an important medical technology department of Beijing Tongren Hospital. In 2007, it was the first full-professional medical laboratory in Beijing to obtain ISO15189 medical laboratory certification. It adheres to the tenet of "patient first, quality first" and takes "precision, sincerity, diligence and harmony" as its motto, and carries out medical laboratory work under a scientific and standardized quality management system.

The quality policy of the laboratory department is "fast, accurate, safe and convenient".

The department has 77 employees, including 2 chief inspectors, 7 deputy chief inspectors, 4 deputy chief physicians, 5 attending physicians, and 27 chief inspectors;

There are currently 7 doctors, 22 masters, 17 undergraduates, and the rest have college degrees.

It is divided into three districts, namely West District, East District and South District. The three districts are under unified management and have the same assessment.

There are four laboratory majors: cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry and immunology.

The laboratory department has participated in the interlaboratory quality evaluation of the "Clinical Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health" and "Beijing Clinical Laboratory Center" for many years and has passed the test results.

It has also participated in international quality assessments such as "RIQAS" routine biochemistry laboratory quality assessment and "BECKAMN-COULTER" global blood cell quality control.

The undergraduate program is the fourth clinical teaching unit of Capital Medical University and has been awarded a doctoral degree in experimental diagnostics.

The current undergraduate area is 2,000 square meters, designed according to the requirements of clinical laboratories. The total experimental equipment is about 28.94 million yuan. It now has a large-scale biochemical immune assembly line and a blood cell assembly line, Bruker MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer and Agilent's triple quadrupole 640 0 Mass spectrometer, fully automatic biochemical analyzer, fully automatic blood cell analyzer, urine sediment flow analyzer, fully automatic hemagglutination detection system, protein electrophoresis instrument, fully automatic enzyme labeling system, fully automatic chemiluminescence detection system, fluorescence quantitative nucleic acid amplifier, gene sequencer, etc.

The scientific research conditions are relatively complete and a number of advanced experimental diagnostic methods have been established.

On the basis of fully satisfying clinical services, the undergraduate program has applied for a number of funded scientific research projects.

Hosted 5 National Natural Science Foundation general projects, 1 National Natural Science Youth Fund, 2 863 plan sub-projects, 1 Capital Characteristics project, 2 Capital Medical Teaching Funds, and 6 intra-hospital funds.

In the past three years, he has published 80 academic papers, including 15 SCI papers.

In accordance with the CL02:2008 (ISO15189:2007) medical laboratory accreditation guidelines, this laboratory department has established a comprehensive quality management system to continuously promote department management and discipline development based on the principle of continuous improvement.

Establish an organizational structure for joint development of laboratory physicians and laboratory technicians to improve clinical service capabilities.

The department director provides management training, business training and business guidance to the South and East Districts twice a month to promote the common development of the three districts.
