Pathology Department

The Department of Pathology at the Beijing Gen-In Hospital, affiliated with the Capital Medical University, is a training base for clinical pathologists in the Beijing region; the Master's and Doctoral student training base for the Capital Medical University's clinical pathology program; the first part of the sub-pathology diagnosis centered on Beijing City Laboratories.The laboratory is located in the Chongqing and Xijiang Hospital Districts, with a total area of over 2,000 square meters, an excellent environment, advanced facilities. In clinical medicine, over 800,000 outpatient diagnoses have been completed to date, over 300,000 outpatient diagnoses are performed, over 2,400 outpatient autopsies are performed, over 40,000 outpatient examinations are performed/year, over 20,000 outpatient clinical trials are performed/year, over 10,000 outpatient clinical cases are performed/year, with a wealth of clinical resources covering all the diseases in both the internal and external fields, especially children. Its distinctive specialties and advantages in the pathological diagnosis and basic research of ear, nose, throat and eye diseases have formed its basis, with pathology being the membership unit of the Chinese Medical Association's Pathology Division and the vice-directorate of Beijing Pathology Division, and Professor Zhongqing and Prof. Park Chang respectively serving as the chairman of the group on infectious disease and the vice-chairman of the group on diseases of the Chinese Medical Association.
