Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery

The University of Medicine, affiliated with the Beijing Capital Hospital, is a traditional hospital focused discipline.The combination of faculties, that is, the combination of basic research and clinical practice, has formed a national distinctive feature.It has become today a national focus, a national base for life sciences and technology talent training. On January 23, 2002, it became a focus area of the National Institute of Higher Education; in 2002 the Center for Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery was established in Beijing; in 2002 the Center for Ear, Nose and Throat Surgical Research was established; in 2002 the Center for Research Laboratories at the Ministry of Science Education, WHO's Deafening Cooperation Centre, Beijing's Center for Artificial Hearing Technology Biotechnology, National Life Sciences and Technical Talent Training Base, Beijing's University of Ear, Nose and Throat Sciences, etc. were all located in hospitals. The Center for Surgery has one Chinese Academy of Engineering faculty member, 23 medical directors, 23 medical assistants, 2 research staff, 6 associate researchers; 13 doctoral students, 13 master's students, and 17 professors, 10 associate professors.
