The Department of Dermatology, Beijing Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, was established in 1953. It is one of the earliest disciplines established in this hospital and has a history of nearly 70 years.

In terms of clinical aspects, the department is committed to the systematic diagnosis and treatment of common diseases, chronic diseases and difficult and rare diseases in the field of dermatology and venereal diseases.

There are currently two outpatient clinics in Chongwenmen West District and Yizhuang South District and a ward in Yizhuang South District (15 beds are established, 6 are currently open), with an outpatient volume of 120,000 per year.

Currently, eight specialized outpatient clinics are opened for "albinism", "hair", "psoriasis", "skin beauty", "acne", "atopic dermatitis", "urticaria" and "onychomycosis".

Among them, the scale and professional influence of specialized clinics for "albinism" and "hair" rank first and top ten in the country respectively.

The overall professional influence of the subject has always been ranked among the top 100 in the scientific and technological value rankings of Chinese hospitals (Chinese medical schools) (among the best in the ranking of municipal hospitals).
