Introduction to the specialty of hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery in general surgery
The General Surgery Department of Beijing Tongren Hospital has a long history. In 1954, the General Surgery Department was designated by the Municipal Health Bureau as a key department for construction and development in Beijing. Hepatobiliary Surgery has always been a key specialty of the General Surgery Department. Historically, it has carried out Beijing's first cadaveric liver transplantation, children's related liver transplantation, islet cell transplantation and other surgeries. It has also taken the lead in carrying out liver resection, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, ERCP and other surgeries in Beijing.
With the goal of creating a first-class hepatobiliary surgery center, the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery continues to develop and actively innovate. The treatment level of hepatobiliary, pancreatic and spleen diseases has reached the national level, and it has taken a leading position in the country in the treatment of some difficult and severe diseases and the performance of difficult surgeries.
The Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery is currently capable of completing all complex surgeries on the liver, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen.
A large number of complex liver resections, pancreaticoduodenectomies, hilar cholangiocarcinoma radical resections, complex biliary postoperative biliary ductoplasty, pancreatic cancer radical resections, mid-hepatic lobectomy, two-step hepatectomy, etc. are performed every year.
The department took the lead in carrying out laparoscopic surgery as early as 1994. Currently, the laparoscopic surgery technology for liver, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen diseases has developed by leaps and bounds.
In addition to laparoscopic cholecystectomy, bile duct exploration, liver cyst fenestration, and laparoscopic exploration that are currently commonly performed in major hospitals, the department now routinely performs total laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy, laparoscopic liver segmentectomy, and other procedures with the most professional capabilities. , hepatic lobes and hemihepatectomies, laparoscopic hepatic caudate lobe resection alone, laparoscopic pancreatic distal resection (with/without spleen preservation), laparoscopic splenectomy, laparoscopic choledochal cyst resection + cholangiojejunostomy and other complex minimally invasive surgeries.
The proportion of minimally invasive laparoscopic treatments in the department has exceeded 90%.
In terms of gallstone treatment, the department has a series of advanced equipment such as high-definition laparoscopy, electronic duodenoscope, electronic choledochoscope, and high-definition intraoperative ultrasound detector. It can complete all current treatment methods for gallstones (including gallbladder stones, bile duct stones, and intrahepatic bile duct stones). Therefore, the most suitable individualized surgical method can be selected for the patient's different conditions, which is also one of the department's characteristic technologies.
There are nearly a thousand gallstone surgeries performed every year, ranking among the top in Beijing.
Special diagnosis and treatment:
Ambulatory laparoscopic gallbladder surgery (easy to get rid of gallbladder worries in one day), laparoscopic minimally invasive treatment of liver, gallbladder, spleen and pancreatic diseases, soft and hard endoscopic combined minimally invasive individualized treatment of cholelithiasis.
Introduction to the specialty of gastrointestinal surgery in general surgery
The gastrointestinal surgery specialty of the General Surgery Department of Beijing Tongren Hospital has a profound history. After several generations of hard work and struggle, the gastrointestinal surgery technology is strong and the overall strength is at the leading level in the country. The characteristics and advantages of this specialty are that it not only masters laparoscopy (rigid scope) technology, but also masters gastroscopy and colonoscopy (soft scope) technology. It is especially good at laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery and endoscopic surgery to treat various benign and malignant diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Surgeons perform endoscopy in person, which allows them to perform both soft and hard procedures, as well as internal and external treatment, and provide the most standardized treatment for benign and malignant diseases of the digestive tract.
Introduction to diagnosis and treatment projects:
Laparoscopic radical surgery for gastric cancer and colorectal cancer;
Laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer without auxiliary incision (NOSES surgery);
Laparoscopic low/ultra-low rectal cancer anus-preserving radical surgery;
Dual-scope combined minimally invasive surgery for gastrointestinal stromal tumors;
Minimally invasive and open surgery for various types of intestinal obstruction;
minimally invasive surgery for small bowel tumors;
Laparoscopic appendectomy;
Minimally invasive surgery for inguinal hernia, incisional hernia, and parastomal hernia;
Laparoscopic antireflux surgery for hiatal hernia;
Endoscopic hemostasis, lesion resection, stent placement, and ligation under gastroscopy and colonoscopy;
Endoscopic reduction surgery of sigmoid volvulus;
Transanal endoscopic micro/minimally invasive surgery;
percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG);
Laparoscopic weight loss and metabolic surgery (sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass surgery) for obesity combined with type 2 diabetes.
General Surgery (Hernia, Thyroid, Breast, Anorectal) Professional Introduction
In terms of hernia surgery, we carry out open and minimally invasive surgical treatment of various difficult abdominal wall hernias and inguinal hernias. The annual number of surgeries ranks second among Beijing's tertiary hospitals, and the proportion of minimally invasive surgeries has exceeded 70%. We have also recently launched daytime minimally invasive surgeries to treat inguinal hernias, forming a new feature in hernia surgical treatment.
The professional group inherits the traditional advantages of general surgery in terms of thyroid and breast surgery, and mainly performs radical surgery for benign and malignant thyroid tumors, cervical lymph node dissection and neck dissection, surgical treatment of hyperthyroidism, radical surgery for benign and malignant breast tumors, breast-conserving radical surgery and sentinel lymph node biopsy for breast cancer, and radical surgery for benign and malignant parathyroid tumors.
In terms of anorectal surgery, the annual operation volume reaches more than 300 cases, and it can carry out special surgeries such as minimally invasive treatment of complex annular hemorrhoids (supramucosal circumcision and stapling, transanal endoscopic hemorrhoid ligation) and radical surgery of complex anal fistulas.
