Geriatrics Department

The Department of Geriatrics, affiliated with the Beijing Gen-In Hospital of the Capital Medical University, was founded in 1982, and currently has 78 medical and technical staff, 76 beds, about 2,600 annual hospital stays, more than 30,000 annual outpatient clinics. With extensive experience in the field of aging chronic diseases, acute illness, co-morbidity, aging syndrome, peripheral surgery period management, prevention and management of aging disease, with a multidisciplinary clinical team in aging medicine and an integrated assessment team for older people, he has been the first to open a geriatric clinic in Beijing since 2018. The Department of Geriatrics has medical equipment such as heart ultrasound, cardiovascular monitoring, dynamic heart electrography monitoring, dynamic blood pressure monitoring, ABI measurement, BIA measuring body mass composition, chemotherapy, respirators, and high-flow nasal moisturizers. The Capital Medical University graduate and postdoctoral training facility for senior medical students, undertaking teaching work at the five-year and seven-year programs of the Capital Medical University, the graduate program and Beijing Nurse Academy, teaching theory every academic year for over 200 years, hosting several Beijing City-wide senior medical series of continuing education projects each year.
