The Department of Defense [overview] Safety Management is responsible for the security work of the entire House. Its main functions are: to seriously implement internal security systems, maintain hospital security, ensure the proper conduct of medical, teaching, and research; to strengthen fire safety management, supervise inspections of priority areas, and to carry out comprehensive social and integrated governance work. When the hospital was built in 1958, there was no Department of Defense, at that time the defense was under the supervision of the Human Resources Department, with 1 person appointed as head of the defence staff.In December 1962, to strengthen the defense department, the hospital separated the defense from the human resources department, and the Department of Defense was established.In 1965, the Department of Defense established an armament department, with 1 person appointed as a special armed staff.In 1985, the Armed Services Department was abolished. In 1987, in response to the need for hospital reform and development of the new era, with approval from the higher authorities, a subsidiary hospital security station was established, responsible for the security guard and the internal security work, an alarm system installed throughout the House's priority areas, and weapons and vehicles were equipped.
