In the early days of the establishment of the Medical Department, the medical secretary in the dean's office was responsible for medical management. In 1966, the hospital established a "Medical Group" to take charge of medical management. In 1972, the Medical Education Department was established, responsible for the hospital's medical care, teaching, preventive health care, medical record management, library and statistical work. In 1984, the Scientific Research Department was established independently, and the Medical and Education Department was renamed the Medical Department. In 2000, the Medical Department was renamed the Medical Department. Its main functions are: to formulate and improve various medical regulations and work plans, to supervise and inspect the implementation of medical quality, service quality and core medical systems; to be responsible for the management of physician registration and prescription rights and anesthesia prescription rights for hospital doctors, graduate students and training doctors; to master clinical medicine. The department monitors the development of new business and new technologies in medical departments; organizes the rescue of major emergency and critical patients, discussions and approvals of difficult patients, and major surgeries; conducts business training and assessment work for medical and health personnel throughout the hospital; organizes and completes technical guidance work for collaborating hospitals and temporary out-of-hospital medical tasks, etc. In 2002, the hospital established a doctor-patient relations office, which is responsible for receiving patient complaints and handling medical disputes.While completing various medical tasks, our hospital actively cooperates with the completion of various mandatory tasks of the government authorities and vigorously carries out social welfare activities. In 1976, a medical team was organized to carry out medical rescue in the Tangshan earthquake-stricken area; in 1998, the hospital dispatched two flood-fighting and disaster-relief medical teams to the hardest-hit areas of Chifeng and Ximeng respectively. They did a lot of specific work on the front line of flood fighting to treat the sick and sick and prevent the spread of post-disaster diseases; in 2003, they prevented and controlled SARS. During the work, the staff of our hospital showed the spirit of selfless dedication and courage to sacrifice, embodying the noble qualities of angels in white. A total of 142 SARS patients were treated, and more than 1,400 medical staff participated in the front-line treatment work, making outstanding contributions to the final victory in the fight against SARS. After the Bochuan earthquake in Sichuan occurred on May 12, 2008, our hospital quickly organized a 17-member earthquake relief medical team to rush to the Wenchuan earthquake-stricken area in Sichuan to participate in medical rescue activities.In 2006, our hospital jointly established a hospital group with 57 banner, county and district hospitals, and cooperated with Inner Mongolia Dongda Mongolian King Group to carry out medical rescue operations for "extremely poor children with congenital heart disease in agricultural and pastoral areas". At the same time, we also implemented maximum-price surgeries for three diseases: atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, and end ductus arteriosus. In the past ten years, our hospital has sent medical teams to support hospitals designated by the Autonomous Region Health Department every year to provide medical technical assistance. According to incomplete statistics, a total of more than 500 medical teams have been dispatched and more than 200,000 yuan in medical equipment and materials have been donated. This has made a huge contribution to the health of the local people.
