Emergency Department

The department of emergency medicine at the Inner Mongolia Medical University is a priority area for the autonomous region, consisting of a comprehensive pre-hospital, inpatient and comprehensive care center that integrates medical, teaching, research and education. It has a total area of 5811m2, with pre-examination clinics, emergency rooms, surgery, gynecology, eye, ear, nose and throat, oral clinics, dispensaries, chest pain, stroke, trauma center clinics, and laboratories, CT rooms, B superrooms, emergency pharmacies, and toll booths. The facility has 160 beds, including an emergency room 20-25 beds, a isolation observation room 1 bed, a retreat area 30 beds, 10 EICU, 55 in-patient/chest pain rooms, 45 outpatient urgent care rooms. It was certified and approved as a demonstration base by the China Chest Pain Center in 2017, approved in 2019 as a national hospital physician specification for emergency medical specialties, and is also a training base for emergency medical nurses in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
