Founded in 1972, the Department of Nephrology was among the region's earliest independent renal specialties. It has 102 beds, a renal intensive care unit, a blood purification center, and a peritoneal dialysis center. The department treats primary and secondary kidney diseases, glomerular and tubulointerstitial disorders, hereditary renal disease, and acute and chronic renal failure, and provides renal biopsy, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, plasma exchange, immunoadsorption, and dialysis vascular-access procedures.
Specializing in integrated treatment of chronic kidney disease, hemodialysis vascular access, including arteriovenous fistulas and semi-permanent central venous catheters, and severe blood purification.
