Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences
The Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences's Anesthesiology Hospital, founded in 1956, was one of the first independent anesthesiologists in the country. At the beginning of its establishment, the anesthesiologist undertook clinical work on both the anesthesia and the extracorporeal cycle of chest and cardiovascular surgery, during which time it established an anesthetic laboratory and animal laboratory, with current director, deputy director, Kim Kiang, and Zhang Fujian. Under the leadership of its first director, Professor Shandyan, second director, Professor Xu Xuecheng, and third director, Professor Huchyoshen, the Department of Anesthesia has conducted low-temperature anesthetic research into cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and severe lung surgery, and successfully applied them to clinical anesthesia. At the same time, a series of studies in the field of low-temperature anesthesia, such as conventional, low-temperature, deep-temperature heart surgery to restore and repair cardiac function; low-temperature, deep-temperature pathological and physiological changes; prevention and treatment of low-temperature coronary fibrosis, etc., have achieved significant results, for the time being. 1958 Anesthesiologists in the outpatient hospital developed an out-of-body circulator in collaboration with heart surgeons and Beijing Medical Association repair facilities.
