Surgery Center

The Beijing Hospital for Adults Surgical Center, is the largest clinical center in the surgical system. Its professional range of services is available to all patients with heart disease over 6 years old, including coronary heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, cardiac arrhythmia, congenital heart disease, heart tumor, cardiomyopathy, heart surgery, heart rhythm disorders and various other serious late-onset heart diseases. The adult surgical center currently has 245 beds, divided into nine sick zones ((7 sick zones,9 sick zones,10 sick zones,13, 53A sick zones,53B sick zones,55A sick zones,55B sick zones,58 sick zones), equipped with three modern ICUs. In the past three years, surgical procedures have increased at a rate of more than 10% per year, in 2011 there were 5,700 surgeries, 2,800 of which were bridge operations, more than one-tenth of patients were elderly patients over 70 years old, while the surgical mortality rate has remained below 1% for many consecutive years, and it is currently one of the largest adult heart surgery centers in the world. The Center for Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery has a strong technical strength.
