View doctor detailsThe General Surgery Department under construction was originally established by experts from famous tertiary hospitals such as Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Beijing Hospital. The department has gone through General Surgery Department, General Surgery Department II (Gastroenterology), Gastrointestinal Surgery (Gastroenterology Tumor Center), General Surgery Department I (Gastroenterology), and Gastrointestinal Surgery Department, and has now become a well-known department in China. The previous department directors were Vice President Pan Ruiqin, Professors Kong Qingwen, Jia Zhengeng and Wang Wenyue. The current department head is Professor Zhou Lei and the head nurse is Liu Yufen. The department currently has 3 chief physicians, 5 deputy chief physicians, 5 attending physicians, 1 resident physician, and 1 technician, including 8 doctors and 6 masters. There are 18 nurses in the department, including 2 with master's degrees, 1 chief nurse, 4 supervisor nurses, 10 nurse practitioners and 3 nurses. Outpatient clinics and wards: The department has 45 beds, and has general surgery clinics, gastrointestinal surgery clinics, thyroid and breast surgery clinics, and specialized outpatient clinics for gastrointestinal tumors, stomach tumors, gastroesophageal reflux surgery, colorectal tumor surgery, minimally invasive surgery to treat obesity and type 2 diabetes, minimally invasive surgery to treat appendiceal diseases, breast diseases, and laparoscopic minimally invasive hernia repair clinics. Digestive tract tumor multidisciplinary joint clinic.Introduction to diagnosis and treatment equipment: The department has advanced equipment such as Storz high-definition laparoscope, Storz single-port laparoscope, Johnson & Johnson ultrasonic scalpel and Coviden energy platform, Olympus high-definition gastrointestinal endoscope and the fourth-generation Xi da Vinci surgical robot. Diagnosis and treatment features of the department: The department specializes in the surgical treatment of gastrointestinal surgical diseases. The number of surgical cases and treatment quality are at the forefront of Beijing. It has traditional advantages in the treatment of common gastrointestinal surgical diseases. It is more specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult gastrointestinal surgical diseases. Its medical technology is at the leading level in the country. Referring to normative documents such as the "NCCN Guidelines", "ESMO Guidelines", "Japanese Colorectal Cancer Treatment Protocol", "Japanese Gastric Cancer Treatment Guidelines", "Japanese Gastric Cancer Treatment Protocols", "Chinese Colorectal Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines", "Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) Gastric Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines", "Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) Colorectal Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines" and other normative documents, multidisciplinary discussions (MDT) are organized for difficult cases to formulate individualized treatment plans. Carry out preoperative neoadjuvant radiotherapy, chemotherapy and conversion therapy for gastrointestinal malignant tumors, achieve preoperative tumor downstaging or successful conversion surgery, increase the surgical resection rate of patients, and improve the prognosis. In terms of surgery, standard surgeries for gastrointestinal tumors are routinely performed, such as total mesorectal excision (TME) for rectal cancer, total transanal mesorectal excision (Ta-TME) for rectal cancer, pelvic autonomic nerve-preserving rectal cancer surgery (PANP), lateral lymph node dissection for rectal cancer, anus-preserving surgery for ultra-low rectal cancer, and standard radical gastrectomy. Actively carry out fully laparoscopic minimally invasive gastrointestinal tumor surgeries such as gastric cancer and colorectal cancer. Laparoscopic minimally invasive treatment improves the quality of surgery and reduces the pain of patients. Laparoscopic bariatric surgery is carried out to treat obesity and type 2 diabetes. While losing weight, metabolic syndrome is effectively treated, and the effect after surgical treatment is stable. Carry out single-hole, reduced-hole, transanal, and abdominal incision-less laparoscopic surgeries to minimize patient trauma. Applying rapid recovery theory (ERAS) to guide clinical work, patients can recover quickly, with less pain and less cost. Minimally invasive techniques are used for hernia repair surgery, and laparoscopic hernia repair surgeries (incisional hernia, indirect hernia, direct hernia, hiatal hernia) are routinely performed. The postoperative recovery of patients is quick and the recurrence rate is low. The combined application of intraoperative laparoscopy and gastroenteroscopy can reduce trauma. More than 800 gastric and colorectal tumor surgeries are performed each year.Every year, more than 300 cases of super obesity and obesity with severe comorbidities are successfully diagnosed and treated. The department also takes into account the diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently-occurring diseases in general surgery, such as thyroid surgery, breast surgery, and hepatobiliary surgery, and the treatment results are satisfactory.
