Pathology Department

The Department of Pathology at Peking University's Oncology Hospital was founded in 1976, is one of the first departments and skeletal departments in the entire hospital, and is a clinical focus department of the National Health Commission. The task of the pathology is to determine the pathogenesis and tumor nature, define the classification of tumors, provide predictive indicators, molecular pathology testing and diagnosis, and provide a basis for clinical treatment. The total number of routine laboratory work in recent years (including surgical sampling, biopsy, surgical ice cream, cell biology) has been more than 80,000 cases, more than 30,000 surgical diagnoses, more than 14,000 molecular diagnoses. The pathology department has 69 current staff, including 31 doctors, 30 technical personnel, two research series, six medical assistants.There are 10 physicians in the doctoral series, 10 physicians as directors, 7 deputy directors, 12 physicians as head teachers, more than 10 hospital doctors and postgraduate specialists, 27 with a PhD; Technology series Deputy Director 1 technician, 9 head technicians, 11 technicians, and 9 technicians
