The Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital, as a pioneer and leader in cardiac surgery in China, has been driving innovative practices in minimally invasive heart surgery since 2010 under the leadership of Professor You Bin, and was officially established as a specialized center in 2021, also being designated as the "Da Vinci Surgical Robot China Cardiac Surgery Clinical Teaching Demonstration Center." Under Professor You Bin's leadership, the center continuously advances the development and progress of cardiac surgical techniques with its outstanding professional skills and innovative spirit.

Specialty Areas and Technical Achievements
Pioneer in Minimally Invasive Surgery: Since 2010, the center has been dedicated to the exploration and practice of minimally invasive cardiac surgery, being one of the earliest medical institutions in China to carry out such procedures.
Leader in Technological Innovation: Under the leadership of Professor You Bin, the center has successfully performed many first-in-China minimally invasive cardiac surgeries, including but not limited to: the first multi-vessel minimally invasive bypass surgery in China in 2012, the first three-dimensional endoscopic mitral valve repair in China in 2013, the first minimally invasive multiple valve replacement in China in 2014, the first minimally invasive Bentall procedure in China in 2016, the first robotic mitral valve repair for Barlow's syndrome in China in 2016, the first minimally invasive aortic root replacement + mitral valve replacement + coronary artery bypass surgery in China in 2021, and the first minimally invasive David procedure in China in 2022.

Comprehensive Coverage of Cardiac Surgery Types: The center can perform all cardiac surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, complex congenital heart disease surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, robotic cardiac surgery, simultaneous/staged minimally invasive hybrid coronary revascularization, great vessel surgery, minimally invasive and conventional redo cardiac surgery, and interventional valve procedures.
Leading Minimally Invasive Surgery Ratio: In minimally invasive valve surgery, the minimally invasive rate exceeds 90%; in bypass surgery, it exceeds 40%, a ratio that is internationally leading.
Outstanding Surgical Volume and Success Rate: In 2023, the center's total surgical volume exceeded 2,000 cases, with an annual surgical mortality rate held below 2.0%, fully reflecting the safety and success rate of our surgeries.
Excellent Organizer of International Training Courses: In June 2024, the center successfully hosted the first International Advanced Training Course in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery. The course received high praise from international peers, who unanimously recognized the technical level of the Anzhen Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery Center as being in a "Head position," i.e., leading position, in the field of minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
