Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University

The Hypertension Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University, is a distinctive department of the hospital. The Hypertension Department of Anzhen Hospital was officially established in July 2003, following the proposal of the concept of hypertension as a discipline by Yu Zhenqiu in 1993 and the publication of the book 'Practical Hypertension Science,' with strong support and guidance from the hospital leadership.
Over the past 10 years, they have summarized and developed the 'Diagnostic and Treatment Standards for the Hypertension Department,' clarifying the characteristics of hypertensive diseases and the scope of diagnosis and treatment, and defining the responsibilities of hypertension physicians, thereby completing the basic training for hypertension physicians. As a result, they have established unique expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of resistant hypertension, highly fluctuating hypertension, severe and complex hypertension, gestational hypertension, and various secondary hypertensions, gaining wide recognition from patients.
They have achieved a high level of protection for the heart, brain, and kidneys in hypertensive patients, such as proposing early diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, which has helped many patients avoid the development of cardiovascular diseases. They also emphasize public education on hypertension, fulfilling the disease prevention and control tasks assigned by higher authorities.
