Vascular Department

The Vascular Surgery Department of the People's Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is a well-known and leading vascular surgical disease diagnosis and treatment center in the country and one of the earliest units in the region to carry out vascular surgery work. The department keeps in mind the hospital motto of "precision medicine, innovation, and integrity for the people", focuses on the overall situation of the hospital, builds on the past and opens up the future, continues to forge ahead in the fields of clinical diagnosis and treatment, scientific research, teaching work and other fields, and moves forward steadily. The department was established in 2011 and is a key discipline in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. There are currently 33 open beds and a medical team with superb skills and strong sense of responsibility. There are a total of 24 medical staff, including 5 chief physicians, 2 deputy chief physicians, 2 attending physicians, 3 deputy chief nurses, 2 supervisor nurses, and 5 nurses, including 2 master's degree tutors, 2 with doctoral degrees, and 6 with master's degrees. Vascular surgery treatments cover all vascular diseases. Including: aortic disease (abdominal aortic aneurysm, thoracic aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, aortic coarctation, etc.); brachiocephalic artery disease (carotid artery, subclavian artery, vertebral artery stenotic lesions, carotid body tumors, etc.); limb and visceral artery disease (aortoiliac artery, femoropopliteal artery, subpopliteal artery and other stenotic and occlusive lesions, various visceral artery stenosis and dilation lesions, etc.);Venous diseases (varicose veins of the lower limbs, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, etc.) comprehensively cover various common and common diseases in vascular surgery, and provide patients with professional, precise and suitable treatment services through open surgery, interventional treatment and combined surgery. The vascular surgery team undertook 2 Inner Mongolia Natural Science Fund projects and 6 other various funds, and won one second prize of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Science and Technology Progress Award. Responsible for postgraduate and undergraduate teaching at Inner Mongolia Medical University and Baotou Medical College, as well as standardized training for residents; currently a member of the Vascular Surgery Alliance of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, the "Diabetic Lower Limb Vascular Lesion Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment Center" of the Chinese Microcirculation Society, "Standardized Training Base for Minimally Invasive Treatment of Lower Limb Varicose Veins", and "Beijing Hospital Diabetes and Foot College Inner Mongolia Base". Professor Zheng Yuehong, Director of the Vascular Surgery Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, is a visiting professor in the undergraduate department; the fifth batch of the National Regional Medical Center’s “Beijing Friendship Hospital Collaborative Medical Center Affiliated to Capital Medical University” regularly study, exchange and provide surgical guidance with the Beijing Friendship Hospital Collaborative Medical Center.
