Since its establishment in 1974, the Inner Mongolia People's Hospital for Respiratory Internology has, after many years of development, become a leader in the field of respiratory pathology in the Inner Mongolia region and even nationwide.In 1992, the Department was approved to establish the Inner Mongolia Regional Respiratory Research Center, and in 1997 established the Sleeping Breathing Laboratory. Koriyumi has twice been named the leading respiratory disease specialist in the Mongolian Autonomous Region and was identified as a postgraduate student candidate for the M.D.S. in 2004 by the Mongolian Medical University. In 2009, the department was named as a Specialist-Priority Respiratory Discipline in the Mongolian Autonomous Region, and in 2013, it signed a cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Respiratory Disease Institute, establishing a professional work base for respiratory hospital specialists in the Mongolian Autonomous Region. In 2015, the department was officially renamed as the Department of Respiratory and Critical Medicine, and again in 2016 it was named the leading department in the field of respiratory diseases in the Mongolian Autonomous Region.
