Plastic Surgery Department

The department currently has 55 medical staff, including 30 physicians (27 with doctoral degrees), including 5 chief physicians, 12 deputy chief physicians, 10 attending physicians, and 13 postdoctoral students. The nursing team has 25 people (2 of them have postgraduate degrees), including 2 wound and stoma specialist nurses, 4 international lymphedema therapists, and 4 pain and swelling taping therapists. The department also has a team of 8 technicians and assistants. The construction of the department's talent echelon is standardized and reasonable. As a degree-granting site of Peking Union Medical College, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery currently has 10 doctoral and master’s degree supervisors and more than 30 doctoral and master’s students. In recent years, it has received more than 20 major projects from the National Key Research and Development Plan, the National Natural Science Foundation, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and the Central High-level Clinical Research Project, published more than 300 SCI and core papers, and edited and translated more than 20 monographs on plastic surgery. As the national clinical pharmacology base for plastic surgery, the department has currently undertaken more than 50 clinical pharmacology studies related to plastic surgery and beauty, and has strong technical strength in clinical and basic research.
