The Department of Allergy at Peking Union Medical College Hospital is the birthplace of modern clinical and medical research on allergy in my country. As a national center for the diagnosis and treatment of difficult allergic diseases, the Department of Allergy has an annual outpatient clinic volume of 120,000, with patients coming from all over the country. The department is a governing unit of WAO (World Allergy Organization) and an executive director unit of the Asia-Pacific Allergy Organization. It is the founding unit of the Allergy Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the founder and president of the Allergologist Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. It founded and serves as the chief editor of the "Chinese Journal of Clinical Immunology and Allergy". It has been ranked first in the specialty ranking of "China's Best Hospital Ranking" by Fudan University Hospital Management Institute, and ranked first in allergy in the "China Hospital Science and Technology Influence Ranking". It is a doctoral degree-granting site of the National Education Commission, a national allergy diagnosis and treatment center, one of the first national allergy clinical key specialty construction units, a clinical research base for allergy drugs of the State Food and Drug Administration, and a national allergy continuing education base.It has six laboratories including the "Beijing Key Laboratory for Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Allergic Diseases", "Allergen Medical Institution Preparation Laboratory" (the only allergen medical institution preparation unit approved by the State Food and Drug Administration), "Peking Union Medical College Hospital Allergen Production and Research Center" (an industrial transformation base approved by the National Health and Family Planning Commission), Allergen Testing Center (in vivo and in vitro diagnosis), Allergic Disease Functional Testing Center, and Allergic Disease Epidemiology Research Laboratory, which have laid a good foundation for clinical and scientific research work.
