Endocrinology Department

The development of the Endocrinology Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital follows the historical footsteps of Peking Union Medical College Hospital. In 1921, Peking Union Medical College Hospital was officially completed. Since the mid-1920s, the Department of Internal Medicine at Peking Union Medical College Hospital has modeled itself on the Massachusetts General Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School in the United States, establishing a metabolic ward to conduct clinical research on endocrine and metabolic diseases.
