Pregnancy complicated with rheumatic heart disease

Rheumatic heart disease is the pathological change left on the heart valves (including the annulus and subvalvular structures) after rheumatic fever involves the heart, thereby impairing normal cardiac function. Patients usually experience weakness and easy fatigability, and feel physically exhausted after ordinary physical activities (such as climbing, walking uphill, brisk walking, cycling against the wind, or heavy housework).
