A blood clot formed by blood components within the heart and/or vascular lumen is called thrombosis. The clinical pathological phenomenon of thrombosis is referred to as thrombotic disease. Since this disease predominantly affects the elderly, it is also called senile thrombotic disease. According to the site of thrombosis, it can be divided into arterial thrombotic diseases (coronary heart disease, ischemic cerebrovascular disease, diabetes, etc.) and venous thrombotic diseases (pulmonary infarction and deep vein thrombosis).
