Carbamate pesticides (carbamates) are used as insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, etc. in agriculture. These insecticides are divided into five major categories: 1. Naphthyl carbamates, such as carbaryl; 2. Phenyl carbamates, such as isoprocarb; 3. Carbamate oximes, such as aldicarb; 4. Heterocyclic methyl carbamates, such as carbofuran; 5. Heterocyclic dimethyl carbamates, such as isolan. Except for a few varieties with relatively high toxicity, such as carbofuran, most are of moderate or low toxicity.
