lymph node-biliary tract syndrome

Internal Medicine / Surgery

Lymph node-biliary syndrome (Ganglic-Biliary Syndrome) is caused by enlargement of hilar lymph nodes compressing the common bile duct. Since 1980, there have been a few reports in China. This syndrome is also known as Derincentis syndrome. The lymphoid tissue of the hepatic pedicle is connected to the mesenteric lymphatic system, and mesenteric lymphadenitis is often accompanied by hilar lymphadenitis; therefore, lymph-biliary syndrome may be the same disease as mesenteric lymphadenitis.
