chronic hepatitis
Internal Medicine / Traditional Chinese Medicine / 感染性疾病科
Chronic hepatitis refers to liver necrosis and inflammation caused by different etiologies, lasting for at least more than 6 months, such as infection with hepatitis viruses (hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus), long-term alcohol consumption, and use of hepatotoxic drugs. Clinically, there may be corresponding symptoms, signs, and abnormal liver biochemical tests, or there may be no obvious clinical symptoms, with only necrosis and inflammation of liver tissue. The disease course is fluctuating or continuously progressive; if not properly treated, some patients may progress to cirrhosis.
