Pregnancy complicated by pulmonary embolism

Internal Medicine / 妇产科

Pulmonary embolism (PE) is the most serious complication of obstetric venous thromboembolic disease. More than 50% of patients with massive pulmonary embolism die within 30 minutes, and the vast majority cannot be rescued in time. The pathogenesis is that various emboli in the systemic circulation become detached, causing pulmonary embolism. The most common pulmonary embolus is a thrombus, and pulmonary embolism caused by a thrombus is also called pulmonary thromboembolism. Patients suddenly experience unexplained collapse, pallor, cold sweats, dyspnea, chest pain, cough, etc., along with cerebral hypoxia symptoms such as extreme anxiety, fatigue, nausea, convulsions, and coma. Only through early recognition and prevention of pulmonary embolism can mortality be reduced.
