Cholestatic jaundice
Internal Medicine / Surgery / Traditional Chinese Medicine
Cholestatic jaundice refers to a condition in which both bile acids and bilirubin in the blood are higher than normal due to bile stasis. So-called cholestasis is caused by various harmful factors resulting in impaired bile excretion function of hepatocytes, inhibition of bile secretion, or obstruction of intrahepatic or extrahepatic bile ducts, leading to slowing or stagnation of bile flow.
