Duodenal white spot syndrome is a new syndrome concept proposed by Japanese scholars in recent years based on endoscopic findings. It refers to scattered miliary-sized white spots or plaques on the duodenal mucosa that differ from duodenal ulcers. Since duodenal inflammation is always present on biopsy pathological examination, most domestic scholars believe it should not be listed as an independent syndrome. In essence, it is a special manifestation of duodenitis, and it is more appropriate to call it "white spot-type duodenitis." Recently, this name has begun to be used in domestic literature.
